A Physics Merge Puzzle About Angles and Reactions

In MerjUp, a shot is an experiment in position and momentum. Cans settle against one another, matching collisions create higher tiers, and a carefully chosen angle can connect pieces that looked separated a moment earlier.

    Control the launch

Press, slide and release to aim. A shallow route can tuck a can into a side gap, while a direct shot can disturb the center and expose a new matching collision.

    Design chain reactions

A merge changes both the tier and the available space. Place matching cans so the resulting piece meets its partner and continues the reaction without another launch.

    Manage an evolving stack

Each collision changes the arrangement of the stack. Leave breathing room, watch the warning line, and balance an immediate merge against a safer structure for future cans.

    Read the board before release

The useful shot is not always the shortest route to a match. Consider what the collision may move, where the merged can can settle, and whether that position keeps a later chain accessible.

    • Use shallow angles for reachable side gaps.
    • Use direct routes when the center needs to move.
    • Reassess the stack after every collision.

    Physics creates recoverable mistakes

A crowded board is not automatically lost because cans can shift, settle, and open new contact points after impact. That makes recovery part of the puzzle. When a direct merge is blocked, a controlled launch into nearby pieces can move the stack just enough to reveal a safer pairing route.
